The actual number of Kyrgyzstan gambling dens is a fact in a little doubt. This seems most bewildering, so we can perhaps state that the list of Kyrgyzstan’s casinos, at least the legal ones, is limited to 2 casinos, 1 of them having adjusted their name recently.
The country, in common with almost all of the ex-Soviet Union, has undergone something of a rapid change to free-enterprise system. The Wild East, you may say, to reference the chaotic circumstances of the Wild West a century and a half back.
Kyrgyzstan’s gambling dens are almost certainly worth checking out, therefore, as a bit of social research, to see dollars being bet as a form of social one-upmanship, the apparent consumption that Thorstein Veblen wrote about in 19th century America.
