If you enjoy a cocktail occasionally, leave your cash at home if you plan to do your consuming in a casino. I am serious. Leave your pocketbook, your billfold, and leave all money, charge cards and checks back at the hotel. Pack whatever cash you expect to use on beverages, tips and few dollars you intend to throw away and keep the rest behind.
Cynical? Not by any means. Realistic more like. You could have a profit after a intoxicated evening out with your comrades and be lucky sufficiently to hook a long toss at a smokin craps table. Hang on to that story seeing that it’s as brief as it gets if you consistently drink alcohol and gamble. The two just don’t go well together.
Leaving your money at home might be a little bit drastic, but defensive actions for excessive actions is necessary. If you gamble to win, then don’t consume alcohol and bet. If you can afford to burn your money without a worry, then consume all the free booze your stomach are able to handle, but do not pack plastic credit and cheques to toss into the mix of chasing losses after your bombed head loses everything!
Allow me to take this a single step more. Don’t drink and then hop on to the internet to gamble in your best-liked online casino either. I enjoy a cocktail from the comfort of my home, but seeing that I’m hooked up through Neteller, Firepay and keep charge cards at my fingertips, I can’t drink and gamble.
What’s the reason? Although I don’t drink a lot, once I consume alcohol, it’s certainly sufficient to blur my better judgment. I wager, so I don’t drink when wagering. If you are a drinker, do not gamble when you do. Both make for a dangerous, and costly, drink.
